IKEA
Most of you are very familiar with IKEA, but I'm willing to bet it stirs different feelings in you depending if you are male or female...just a guess. I for one, think shopping at IKEA is like gambling. If you don't decide how much money you are going to lose prior to showing up, you will end up losing a WHOLE LOT more money than you originally planned.
Our trip to IKEA was fun, despite the fact I am significantly poorer than when I started. The kids had a blast, and the food they sold was SUPER cheap.
The kids did great, they tried just about everything there, and didn't get fussy. In fact my son LOVES shopping. We went to IKEA on the 10th, and today, the 22nd, as Kimberly was taking the kids to church Kenny says,
"I don't want to go to church, I want to go to IKEA!"
Not a child after my own heart...

Eliana Turns One!
Happy Birthday Eliana!!!
We had a stupendous birthday this past Saturday, and the star of our party was little L.Of all the food pictures, I never got a picture of the cake, except when Eliana was eating it... As you might expect though we had fruit and vegetable trays with home made blueberry muffins. We Heck's don't do much by way of processed food.
We were wondering if "L" would know what to do if we handed her a cupcake...it took her all of two seconds and this was our result, paper and all.But by far, the cutest part was the cake. Hopefully by the time you are reading this, there is a post above this one with two videos displaying her, devouring a piece of cake. She, unlike Kenny, got her hands into the icing and loved it. First thing she did was bring her face to the cake.
Then somewhere along the way she started using her hands, and eventually we gave her a fork.
All and all she appeared to have a great time. She was singing, talking, dancing, and eating. She was even so kind as to give us a cheesy grin, and show off some of her presents.
