Kenny received his first hair cut yesterday. He maxed out at 7 min of sitting relatively still. I fed him some snacks while Kimberly cut his hair as fast as she could. We didn't really finish the hair cut either, when Kenny wad done, we were done.Following his hair cut, we then went to our pool which just opened. This was Kenny's first dip in this pool. As soon as his feet touched the chilled water he started crying, but after 2 or 3 minutes of just sitting there he became used to the temperature. Then he stood on the step and the water came up to his thighs. Once again he started crying until he was used to it. Then he just about jumped in, he wanted to play and splash in the water.

One small step for Ken, one giant leap for Mom and Dad
I was sitting at the computer when I heard a commotion off to my left. I glanced in that direction saw this! This was the first time he had pulled himself up. We realized that we were entering into a whole new ballgame. The implications were astounding. If he can pull himself up, then for sure he's going to fall and bonk his head. Not to mention all the "things" he is going to be able to get into now. As most of you seasoned parents know the list goes on and on. Kenny being our first child, it's like a rafting trip as we speed through the white water ahead.

Walking Practice
Kenny is getting there. He doesn't quite have it, in fact he's no where close really to walking on his own, but with strong hands of loving parents Kenny is getting around like most bipeds.
Of course we had to take a grass break. What little kid goes outside and DOESN'T play in the grass?
We had lots of fun taking the pictures, but I'll tell you what, there is no joy quite like raising a child. It's a daunting task if you think about it too long, you just hope that when all is said and done, you haven't messed them up too much.
