So I finally was able to convince Kimberly that Eliana's rat tail needed to go. The style went out with the 80's.
After much trepidation, Kimberly exclaimed, "Oh this is so cute, I should have done it a long time ago!"

September
It would appear as though we did not do much during the month of September, but we actually did. My mom and brother's birthday both fell during that month. We also have been kept super busy with school, house projects, illnesses, and as always, taking really cute pictures.

Oh How They Grow Up
It was hard for me to swallow, but Kenny had his first day of preschool on Tuesday. I know all you experienced mothers out there usually rejoice at the opportunity to have a little more peace and calm in the home, but this was my first...
Kenny was so excited to go though, which is great. My first day of school I cried, I also cried the second, third, up until the fifth day of school... ANYWAYS.

Back in Texas
3300 miles later, 53 hours in the car, and averaging 27mpg. Vacation was fun, but it's always a good feeling when you get home.
The first part of our journey we traveled 12 hours and stopped in New Mexico with some of dearest friends, the Parker family.
We also passed a mountain on fire, I've never seen one before...
After arrived in Utah, we had time for a quick nap,
a quick hike,
and then whitewater rafting!
With plenty of things to see and do, there was never a dull moment.
I've also adopted the philosophy that NOT stopping to see my widowed grandmother is BAD karma, so I never miss that opportunity. We love stopping by to see our "Gigi," I think she came up with that name with "G.G." for Great Grandma, in mind.
After hanging out with Gigi were off to join Luke and Kristy. We joined up with Michael, Kiya, Valerie and her children and all went out to Snowbird, where Kenny was able to play in snow in July!
I think this was my favorite part. Kenny had sooooooooooo much fun.
As I'm sure many of you have heard Michael's bull riding stories... yeah we've heard them many times as well, so Luke made him ride the mechanical bull, LOL. To his everlasting credit, he did quite well. Also, of equal entertainment was watching his wife ride the bull as well.
Following Snowbird we saw a good portion of Kimberly's family in Wilson Canyon.
Wrapping up our trip, we stopped by Grandma McConnell.

L has really started in with her unique personality, and she chooses to express it in some of the most peculiar ways...

Good Times at Our House
Some times our kids are super sweet to each other, and sometimes not. But I was able to catch one of those rare moments. Kenny actually gets a big kick out of it when his sister wants to give him a hug.
L is getting better and better at walking every day. She is also getting cuter and cuter while she does it.
Today I have also been feeling the photoshop urge...
(for those who are unfamiliar on how to see the pictures larger, right click the picture, then choose view image.)

New Counters!!!
They are finally here! We were told that they should be installed by the end of May, and it is now mid June. Now that that's paid for, my wife has found another "good use" for the money...
