As promised.
I also share this with the permission of Michael.

What a Weekend
As most of y'all know Michael and Kiya were sealed in the Draper temple this past Saturday. I don't think anyone there was more excited than Michael was though.
We didn't have any problems getting to Utah, thank goodness. Kenny did really well on a direct flight from Houston to Salt Lake.
We were fortunate to be able to stop by and see my Grandma, whom we love dearly. She keeps such a busy schedule, we were just glad she could fit us in.
Saturday was a FULL day! Those young kids, so full of love and joy. We wish them the very best and hope they know they can always call on us in times of need.
Even though it was her day, and busy one at that, Kiya made sure to take time out for the "Little People."
Kenny was able to see his great grandparents for the first time, and Grandpa and Grandma saw their first great grandchild. Grandma and Grandpa have been serving a mission in Africa for the past while.
We always love being reunited with family, and having those choice moments when we all can be gathered together. Little ones grow up, and people get married, but we never forget our roots.
This was also the first time any of us met Heidi, David's girlfriend! We've heard ALL the stories, but could never put a face with the name until now. I think Mom was particularly happy, for reasons I will not go into on this blog. :-D
Coming up for the sealing also provided an opportunity to be reunited with old friends again.
And speaking of Chanda... She neglected to tell us that she had been dating this guy for a year and a half! AND THEN, when we met up with her, she STILL didn't tell us. We had to play 20 questions to get it out of her. But how excited we are for her.Kenny keeps telling me, "One day I'll be as big as Uncle David, right Dad?" I keep telling him it all depends on how many vegetables he eats and how well he listens to his mother. That formula seemed to work for David. David also sleeps 14 hours a day, but Kenny doesn't seem to want to sleep more than 4... I keep telling him.

Camping
Kenny went camping for the first time this past weekend! We all had such a good time: we played in the forest, stayed up late, ate marshmallows, got smoke in our eyes, cried all night long, slept in the car, ate some really yummy food with dirt in it... you get the idea. I took far more pictures than I thought I was going to, but that's alright. We went with my mom's soccer team that she coaches, and those girls are so much fun. Thanks for such a memorable camping trip ladies.
Soccer girls, here is a link to the Camp Pictures. Coach should have given you the password.

Oh the Ailments
The Heck family has been under the weather all week. It first started with Kenneth, then it moved to me, and finally Kimberly. Fortunately Kimberly never got as sick as the rest of us, but we are on the road to recovery.
Kenneth always seems to be in good spirits though, even when he is feeling down. He gets really really needy, and I mean NEEDY. But outside of that very pleasant.
