Pictures with Kenny
Kenny and I had a great time making some pictures together. He was recently given some new cloths and Kimberly wanted to show them off. My son is also NOT camera shy. He unfortunately knows he's cute, and takes every opportunity, to ham it up!

Halloween Preparations
This Monday we had a great family home evening with Jon and Sarah Bitter. If you know anything about the Bitters, there is never a dull moment with them! Kimberly gave a very moving lesson and game regarding honesty. And leave it to Jon to figure out how to cheat at the Honesty Game...
After treats we painted pumpkins. Thanks to my amazing foresight, Eliana was adequately prepped for a painting activity, and thank you to Sarah for garbing Kenny in the proper personal protective equipment.
In the end we had three original creations, and three people who swear they didn't copy each other...right...

What Keeps Me Going
Our daughter, Eliana, has been just miserable the last 2 months since having a heavy dose of antibiotics 3 months ago (for untreatable pertussis) that has since lead to multiple yeast/diaper rash infections. Trying to get her (and all of us) feeling better has been a real struggle and it wears me out too. Unhappy children = unhappy mommy.
So, after a really long week, (and couple months, with the struggle still not over) my amazing, sweet, wonderful husband brought these home from work for me this morning! Okay, it was yesterday, but they absolutely made my day and every time I look at them, I feel so loved! I really do love my Jonathan! Thank you love!

August How Hot Thou Art
Oh August! We are just barely half way finished, you rear your ugly head, and spew hot moist breath from your insufferable lungs. I will not be discouraged though! Despite your efforts to cage me inside my wonderfully air conditioned home, I am determined to have fun!
Rachel Tucker was in a melodrama, "The Wrong Side of the Law." She had a marvelous performance, which we were privileged to see, and participate in. Thank you Rachel for allowing us to attend such a wonderful event! Scott you are a lucky man!

Visiting Grandma
On a whim we decided to make a trip to visit with Grandma Heck (GG) in Utah. I have a great friend who was willing to swap some days with me at work in order to make this happen, and I will forever be grateful.
Our first stop was in Riverton to visit with Luke and Kristy, or as the kids refer to it as "Emma's house." Almost the whole way they kept asking, "Are we going to see Emma?" It was fun, we celebrated Kenny's birthday a little early, had an imaginary egg hunt, and allowed Luke to grill some fish for us (thanks buddy, it was delicious).
Then we headed off to GG's! It was such a wonderful visit, and we are so glad we made the trek. At the retirement center Kenny officially turned 4, and let all the residents there know it. He'd walk around with four fingers showing and announce, "I am four!"
David and Heidi came by, as well as Janelle and Kay, and we had ourselves a great little family reunion. The reunion was complete with:
Pirates
Juggling:
Reading time:
and Hide and Seek:
All-in-all one of our best vacations.

It has been a while since last post, and that is mainly due to the hospital being overloaded with people doing silly things, and ending up in a trauma bed. Nevertheless, some fun things have been happening in our home.
Kimberly has decided to chop off 13 inches worth of hair.
Corwin is is growing and developing just fine. We had a little scare with some Pertussis that Kenny caught, but it looks like Corwin and "L" will not be catching it.
I can barely remember Kenny and "L" being little enough to take bathes in the sink, but I'm reminded of how small babies really are every time I hold Corwin or give him a bath.
